According to the instructions below, we'll make an 8 pointed star out of paper. Although its structure looks complicated, it is easy to accomplish. You can also choose a variety of colors of paper and fold out the look you like.
This is a simple origami tutorial, which fold 8 identical units separately, then combine them together to get an 8 pointed star. Even if you leave it to the kids to finish, it won't take a few minutes!
1.Prepare 8 sheets of square paper, the same size. Four of them are orange and the other four are yellow. You can also choose other colors of paper, as you like.
2.Take one of them out. Fold both corners diagonally, and expand. Then fold the two edges into the diagonal line.
3.Fold the bottom corner up.
4. Open the origami model completely. Fold the bottom corner up and align with the top corner. And then unfold.
5.Fold the bottom corner up along the existing crease. Then fold the left and right edges to the center.
6.Flip it over. Fold the bottom side up along the just folded diagonal line. A basic unit is folded.
7.Fold the other seven sheets in the same way. We have eight units altogether.
8.Take out two units of different colors and insert them together. Note: You can do this clockwise or counterclockwise, but it should be all the same.
9. add a third unit.
10. This is a combination of six units, one angle for each unit.
11. Add the last 2 units and a beautiful star is done!
